This 1909 Barber Quarter is a strong About Uncirculated Fifty Five example that has been certified and approved by CAC. Coins that earn CAC approval are recognized for premium quality within the grade and are often more desirable to collectors for their eye appeal and solid surfaces.
The coin shows sharp detail across Liberty head wreath and lettering with only light wear on the highest points. The reverse eagle retains strong feather detail and much of the original design remains bold. Traces of mint luster are still present and the surfaces are clean and attractive with natural silver color.
Barber coinage is a favorite among collectors of classic United States silver and early twentieth century issues. Higher grade About Uncirculated examples like this are increasingly difficult to find and make excellent additions to both type and date collections.
