The 1904-P Double Eagle Liberty Head is a $20 gold coin minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1904, featuring the iconic Liberty Head design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Made of 90% gold and 10% copper, it weighs 33.44 grams.
Graded NGC MS-64, this coin is in Mint State, specifically rated as "Gem Uncirculated." It exhibits excellent luster, sharp details, and minimal imperfections, with only very light contact marks or minor abrasions, which are typical for coins in this grade.
The 1904-P Double Eagle is part of the Liberty Head series, and while not rare, it holds historical value as one of the final issues of this design before it was replaced by the Saint-Gaudens design in 1907. In NGC MS-64 condition, it is a highly attractive and well-preserved example of this U.S. gold coin.
